Charles is the Founding Director of White Chalk Road, and one of the first professionals in Australia to truly specialise in SEO and online marketing. Prior to setting up WCR in 1999, Charles was an independent consultant to local government and the WA racing industry in relation to IT, web design and the internet. In the early 1990s, he pioneered the use of direct database feeds of race results and horse form to the internet in Australia and the Customer Racing Information Service (CRIS) he designed in 1995 remains essentially unchanged today. Charles holds a Bachelor of Business from Curtin University with a major in accounting and minor in international business as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Information Systems, Curtin 1988. He was an integral part of the development of market research tools that Charles titled the Vertical Online Marketing Analysis (VOMA) methodology for White Chalk Road using leading-edge technology from the US developed over a two-year period.
